PresidentSerena Lai will be entering her fourth year of Medical Sciences at Western.
Her love of music began when she started learning the violin at the age of four. Since then, she has picked up the piano, clarinet, and double bass. Serena has performed with the Huronia Symphony Orchestra as a violinist and has worked as a Music Staff at the National Music Camp of Canada. To continue her journey with music throughout university and connect with people who shared her passion for music, Serena has been with Western Chamber Music for three years. She is super excited to be working with an amazing team of students and is looking forward to another amazing year! Some fun facts about Serena are that she enjoys hiking and photography. |
VP CommunicationsAmar Mamone is going into his fourth year of Medical Sciences at Western.
Amar started flute, like many, through school and quickly fell in love with music, leading him to dabble in piano and guitar. He has been an avid supporter of the arts through his efforts with extracurricular bands and orchestras, music councils, hospital volunteer shifts, and summer camp volunteer involvement. He has seen the benefits of music in various settings, like hospitals, and wants to help others benefit from the arts. Amar's has a strong passion to help others continue their musical journey in post-secondary education, and is very excited to share his new ideas and work with everyone to creating an enjoyable school year. Some fun facts about Amar is that he is an avid cat, Taylor Swift, and cooking enthusiast. He tries to teach others how to cook during the pandemic through YouTube. |
VP PerformanceDiane Lee is going into her second year of the Medical Science program at Western University.
Diane’s passion for music began when she started learning piano and violin at the age of nine. Through her active involvement in different bands and orchestras, she learned clarinet and trumpet. Last summer, she also started learning how to play guitar and drums. Strongly influenced by her love for music, Diane has volunteered at Studio Bell National Music Centre, and founded and led virtual musical projects throughout the pandemic. Wanting to continue her musical journey in university, Diane joined Western Chamber Music and she is looking forward to her second year at WCM! Some fun facts about Diane include: she used to have a pet turtle named Turtle and despite all her music experiences, she cannot sing :( |
